Terms of Use

1. Who Operates This Website
East Coast Septic Tanks is operated by Johnny Svensson. This is an independent information and referral website, not a waste collection company, installation contractor, engineering practice, grant authority or statutory inspection body.
Contact: 046 900 5014. Email: contact@eastcoastseptictanks.ie. Contact address: 39/40 Upper Mount Street, Dublin 2, D02 X7H6, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
2. Information and Enquiries
Our guides explain common maintenance, repair and grant topics. They are general information and do not replace a site assessment, professional advice or the requirements given by your local authority.
When online enquiries are available, you may ask us to review your request. An enquiry is not a booking, accepted order, quotation or agreement for works. We do not guarantee that an operator will be identified or accept a request, or that we will reply within a particular time.
Current availability: no contractor partnership is confirmed. We cannot offer a contractor appointment, quote or emergency response.
3. A Separate Agreement With the Contractor
If an independent operator is identified, we explain who they are and ask for your permission before sharing your contact details. You decide whether to appoint them. You agree the assessment, scope, price, payment terms, appointment, documentation, warranties and any cancellation arrangements directly with that contractor.
We do not collect or transport waste, schedule waste collections on your behalf, supervise works, accept payment for works or certify an installation. A contractor is responsible for their own services and for the permits, competence and insurance required for their work. A waste collection permit does not certify engineering or installation work.
4. Prices, Grants and Documents
We do not lock in prices. A price is binding only where you and the contractor agree it on the applicable terms. Ask for an itemised written quote, including any VAT, call-out charges and access-related costs.
Grant information describes possible assistance for eligible homeowners. Your local authority decides eligibility, approval and payment. A referral, fault or private survey does not guarantee funding. Confirm the current conditions before starting works.
For tank emptying, use an authorised collector and ask what receipt or record they provide. We do not guarantee a particular certificate or council acceptance of a contractor’s paperwork.
5. Referral Fees
There is no charge from this website for submitting an enquiry. If a commercial referral arrangement is established, we may receive a fee from an operator. Any such arrangement will be explained before a referral. A referral is not an independent ranking or a recommendation that one contractor is the best available.
6. Urgent Problems
This website and its phone number are not an emergency dispatch service. Do not wait for a reply if you need urgent sewage or drainage assistance. Contact an appropriate professional directly; contact the local authority about pollution concerns.
7. Personal Information
Read our Privacy Policy for how we handle contact details and enquiries. Consent to reviewing an enquiry is separate from permission to share it with a named operator and from any marketing consent.
8. Responsible Use and External Links
Please provide accurate information and do not submit information about another person without authority. Do not send health information, financial details or unnecessary documents. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.
9. Responsibility and Consumer Rights
We take reasonable care with the information we publish, but a guide cannot determine your property’s condition or guarantee a grant or contractor outcome. We remain responsible for our own acts and omissions as required by law. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limit your statutory consumer or data protection rights.
Your rights in relation to a contractor’s services, including any applicable cancellation or refund rights, depend on that separate agreement and the law. Nothing on this website removes those rights.
10. Questions and Applicable Law
For a question or complaint about the website or our handling of an enquiry, contact us using the details above. For a complaint about works, contact the contractor, without prejudice to any claim you may have against us for our own conduct.
These terms are governed by Irish law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings that apply to you. Updates apply to future use and do not retrospectively remove rights or alter an existing agreement.
